Definition

Aquaculture The business of cultivating marine or freshwater food fish or shellfish, such as oysters, clams, salmon and trout, under controlled conditions. Fish farm, etc.
Breeder Farm & Ranch property suited for breeding animals kept to produce offspring.
Cash Crop Farm & Ranch property suited for producing cash crops, such as tobacco, grown for direct sale rather than livestock feed.
Dairy Agricultural enterprise devoted to the production of bovine milk products on a large-scale basis. Facilities may or may not include processing equipment for converting milk into derivative butter and cheese products.
Feeder Farm & Ranch property suited for producing animals for market.
Fowl Farm & Ranch property suited for breeding fowl.
Hog Farm & Ranch property suited for breeding pigs.
Horse Farm & Ranch property suited for breeding horses.
Livestock Non-Pasture; industrial type operation where livestock is grain fed and housed in a large facility containing pens/cages (e.g., pig farm, turkey farm, chickens, etc.).

Orchard A planting of uniformly spaced fruit- or nut-bearing trees and shrubs; normally spaced for easy equipment operation and maximum production from a specific variety of tree. Orchards commonly apply to non-citrus fruit trees. Groves commonly apply to citrus plantings or walnuts and other specialty nut crops. Vineyards strictly apply to grapes.
