||The third largest township in Washtenaw County, Scio comprises about 32 square miles located between Maple, Scio Church, Parker and Joy Roads. It is a community of more than 16,500 residents, located immediately west of Ann Arbor. There are two outstanding public school systems to serve township residents – Ann Arbor and Dexter. Both have excellent ratings. This designation is intended to serve both neighborhood and overall Township resident’s retail shopping needs. Uses envisioned are of a general retail nature to serve the residents of Scio Township. Automotive service stations and heavy automotive repair are not compatible with the Commercial category. The Commercial category is intended to provide a diversified number of goods and services.

corridor due in part to existing commercial opportunities available outside the
Jackson Road Corridor found in the Village of Dexter and the City of Ann
